How we collect, use and protect the personal information you share with us through this website.
Who we are
This website, northernguard.ca, is operated by Northern Guard Security Services Inc. (“Northern Guard Security”, “we”, “us”), a licensed security agency based in Innisfil, Ontario. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
We only collect personal information that you choose to give us:
- Quote requests: your name, company, phone number, email address, the service you need, the site or city, schedule, start date, number of guards and any site details you provide.
- Contact messages: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and company, plus your message.
- Phone calls and emails you send us directly.
To protect the forms from abuse, our server keeps a short-lived, one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address. We cannot turn it back into your IP address, and it is deleted automatically, normally within a day. Our hosting provider may also keep standard server logs for security and reliability.
How we use it
We use your information only to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, arrange and provide our services, and keep records of our communication with you. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
Form submissions are delivered to our team by email through our website and email hosting provider. We share information with other parties only when needed to provide the services you ask for, or when required by law.
Cookies and third-party services
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers, and Google may receive your IP address. You can read how Google handles this in the Google Privacy Policy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails and related records only as long as needed to respond to you, provide our services, and meet our legal, accounting and licensing obligations.
How we protect it
This website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to enquiries is limited to people who need it to respond to you.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. To make a request, or if you have a question or concern about privacy, contact us:
